The Rack Release double threaded stud consists of a standard 10/32" thread (12/24" and M6 versions are also available), a non-threaded shoulder and a larger, 1/4 - 28" quick thread. The 10/32" thread is inserted into your rack allowing the non-threaded shoulder to bear the weight of your rack equipment during installation.

Although the cap and stud are slotted and
can be installed with a standard blade type
screw driver, these slots are wide enough to accommodate most pocket change. In this way Rack Release can quite literally be installed without the use of tools.

With a few simple turns the knurled quick
release cap is secured and your rack
equipment is held firmly in place.
